How to Apply to our School

New families interested in Cascadia School are required to attend a virtual tour and a scheduled observation.

Virtual tours will resume in the fall for admission in the 2025-26 school year and beyond!

These steps will walk you through the admissions process:

1. Attend a tour (mandatory first step!)

Currently, initial tours are virtual and scheduled to provide alternate dates and times for families to attend. Virtual tours are grouped with multiple families attending one time slot. After the virtual tour, parents will be scheduled to observe in a classroom. This gives prospective families a chance to see the uninterrupted morning work cycle, a hallmark of Montessori education.  Please note that these initial visits are for adults only.

2. Submit an Application

After your tour, you will be able to schedule an in-person observation to visit our school. During the observation you will be provided with an admissions packet. Submit the Application for Admission form with the non-refundable application fee (which is applied toward the registration fee upon completion of enrollment).

Cascadia prioritizes applications in the following order:

  1. Cascadia Siblings/Montessori Educator Children
  2. Years of Montessori Experience
  3. Cascadia School celebrates and welcomes students who reflect the global community. We give priority placement to these students in lieu of Montessori experience.
  4. Applicants from area schools.

3. Placement in classroom or on waitlist

Applicants will be placed on a waitlist until current Cascadia families complete their continuing enrollment. Early acceptance for incoming first year families are notified in January. For other grades, you will be notified of your child's acceptance in April once we complete re-enrollment. Families will be notified of classroom placement in May.

4. Pay balance of registration fee to secure placement.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Students of all backgrounds are welcome at Cascadia School and encouraged to apply for enrollment. Cascadia School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, creed, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or associational preference in the administration of its educational policies, admission policies, tuition assistance and other school-administered programs.

Open House

Cascadia’s annual winter open house allows prospective parents to tour the classrooms, meet teachers, and speak with parents of students currently enrolled at the school. This come and go annual event is a great way to learn more about our school! Families are welcome to attend with children of all ages.

Join us for our Open House on Saturday, January 27th from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Please visit our open house page to R.S.V.P.

If you think your child would thrive in a Montessori environment, give us a call or schedule a tour online. We would love for you to visit our school and learn more.
